Hip Pain Physical Therapy
Hip pain / Injuries
Hip pain is a relatively common symptom seen in our clinics, but the cause of the pain can vary considerably. Pain in or around the hip can be caused from a variety of different conditions including arthritis, bursitis, tendinopathies, muscle strains, osteonecrosis, tumors, snapping hip syndrome, nerve entrapments, Iiliotibial band syndrome (ITBS) or even referred from other joints such as the lumbar spine and sacroiliac joint.
Being able to appropriately differentiate where the problem is stemming from and treating that tissue is essential to effective recovery. Post operative care for total hip replacements are also treated more effectively when proper differentiation is performed.
