Manual Therapy
Manual therapy involves soft tissue work, including massage. This pressure helps relax muscles, increase circulation, break up scar tissue, and ease pain in the soft tissues.

- Myofascial Release
- The McKenzie Method
- Kinesiotaping
Exercise Therapy
Exercise therapy involves increasing the normal range of motion for patients through exercise techniques. This helps improve strength in weak muscles as well as performance of daily activities. It also helps release contracted muscles, tendons, and fascia.
- Therapeutic Exercise & Functional Exercise Therapy
- Rehabilitation & Home Exercise Programs
- Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF)
- Postural Correction
- TRX Suspension Sports Medicine
Modalities
In addition to therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and other common treatment methods, we use a variety of modalities to reduce pain, facilitate healing and restore function. We use the following modalities:
- Ultrasound - sound waves are used to heat tendons, muscles and other tissues to improve blood flow and hasten the healing process.
- Electrical Stimulation - involves electrodes attached to a patient’s skin and is used for both pain relief and functional improvements.
- Iontophoresis - electrical current that helps to push topical drugs through the skin and into the bloodstream. Typically used to reduce inflammation, prevent muscle spasms or break up mineral deposits.
- Therapeutic Heat - used to decrease pain, increase mobility and temporarily allow for pain-free movement.
- Therapeutic Cold - used to decrease inflammation and swelling as well as blood flow to an affected area.
